Snow Leopard breaks iCal for Kerio
Snow Leopard is out, and the list of incompatibilities is coming into focus. All things considered, there are not very many major incompatibilities to report to you except for one. Snow Leopard’s iCal 4 does not play well with Kerio Mail Server. To Kerio’s credit, Apple released Snow Leopard a little bit sooner than expected. They are hard at work on a “Kerio Upgrade” to get iCal working again.
But for the next few weeks, we are asking our clients that use iCal with Kerio to hold back on upgrading their Macs to Snow Leopard. If you use an iPhone and don’t mind handling your calendar duties there, you could upgrade to Snow Leopard now and simply avoid iCal for a few weeks. If you use Entourage with Kerio, you can upgrade to Snow Leopard now.
